BANKS LIGHTNING
|
|
drafted
|
Todd
Gurley (rb), Nelson Agholor (wr), Tyler Lockett (wr),
Justin Hardy (wr), Kenny Bell (wr), Jacob Tamme (te) |
summary
|
Lightning
continues to thrive on draft day. Gurley could prove
to be the stud of this draft class and Nelson Agholor
may be the steal of the draft and a potential instant-impact
/ rookie of the year canidate. Justin Hardy was also
nice value late in the 4th Rd. Also like the Tamme
pick as a sleeper TE who could be the team starter
if Delaine Walker takes a step back and Eric Ebron
fails to progress in year two. They still need to
address their QB depth but Lightning is really building
an impressive group of young talent. |

LAS
VEGAS 69ERS
|
|
drafted
|
TJ
Yeldon (rb), Devin Smith (wr), Jay Ajayi (rb), TJ
Montgomery (rb), Josh McCown (qb), Josh Robinson (rb) |
summary
|
The
two-time defending Prestige Champions didn't need
much coming into the draft but they made some smart
moves to improve their depth. They didn't have a pick
until Round 4 but they made two draft day deals to
work into Rounds 2 and 3, also acquiring Alfred Morris.
The Devin Smith pickup was nice value in Round 3 and
Josh McCown was a wise choice for this team in Round
5. |

UNITED
|
|
drafted
|
Amari
Cooper (wr), Jaelen Strong (wr) |
summary
|
Cooper
was most teams #1 ranked player and United might have
gotten another instant impact rookie in the 3rd rd
with Jaelen Strong. They also added an additional
1st Rd Pick in 2016 giving up a 2nd Rd and Alfred
Morris. Seems like alot now but come next August it
will look like a much more valuable deal then it does
now. |

TORMENTA
|
|
drafted
|
Marcus
Mariota (qb), Phillip Dorsett (wr), Maxx Williams
(te), Josh Hill (te), Bryce Petty (qb), Chris Conley
(wr), Garrett Grayson (qb) |
summary
|
Building
depth was key for Tormenta as this draft gave them
9 picks to work with. They might have drafted one
too many rookie QBs but they wisely addressed WR depth
taking four. You can argue if they picked the right
players but that is for time to tell. As of now we
say they got tremendous value with Dorsett at #17,
a player that might not be instant impact, but has
a very high ceiling. They needed to add TEs and they
made two good picks with the top rookie and a potential
sleeper in veteran Josh Hill. |

MYRTLE
BEACH 328'S
|
|
drafted
|
Dorial
Green-Beckham (wr), Tevin Coleman (rb) |
summary
|
A
quiet but solid draft from 328's. Dorial Green-Beckham
is a player with a very high ceiling because of his
freakish abilities, so you certainly can't argue 328's
1st Rd selection. Then after taking Tevin Coleman,
they made a wise move adding Devonta Freeman via a
trade for the #25 pick. |

MACUNGIE
O'S
|
|
drafted
|
Jameis
Winston (qb), Duke Johnson (rb) |
summary
|
The O's have a stock pile of QBs behind alltime leading
scorer Peyton Manning, but its hard to argue the value
they got with Winston falling to #9 overall. Duke
Johnson was also nice value at #19 overall. |

H
|

drafted
|
Kevin
White (wr), Virgil Green (te), David Cobb (rb), Terrelle
Pryor (wr) |
summary
|
Kevin
White was a good pick by this team at #4 and over
some time he could prove to have the best career of
any player in this draft. As is their history, H gambled
on two low risk, high potential veterans (Green and
Pryor). They must be high on Pryor as they traded
a 3rd Rd pick to move into the 5th Rd. |

TOMCATS
|
|
drafted
|
Ameer
Abdullah (rb), Sammie Coates (wr) |
summary
|
The
Tomcats likely regret the Monte Ball for a 1st and
3rd Rd Pick, but he still has some time to develop.
They made a decent pick in the 2nd Rd with Abdullah
who has potential to produce right away. Sammie Coates
is more long term but was good value. |

LOS
ANGELES LAKE SHOW
|
|
drafted
|
Melvin
Gordon (rb), Joseph Randle (rb), Devin Funchess (wr),
Clive Walford (te), Matt Jones (rb), Panthers (d/st) |
summary
|
Some
mixed opinions on Lake Show's draft. Everyone will
debate who they take at #1 but you can't really argue
Gordon as a bad selection, especially for a team in
such need of a RB. The pick of Randle was a surprise
but he could have immediate impact for Lake Show this
season. We thought there were better options then
Devin Funchess at #14 but they added some young depth
late in the draft (most notable a very good pick of
Matt Jones in Rd 4) and made a good value trade with
H giving a 5th Rd Pick for a 3rd next year. |

A II P
|
|
drafted
|
David
Johnson (rb), Damien Williams (rb), Tim Tebow (qb) |
summary
|
With
very little salary room to work with A II P was left
with an insignificant draft. They may have over drafted
David Johnson at #16 but he's a good handcuff for
Andre Ellington who dealt with injuries last season.
After that the team had little salary room and had
most owners scratching heads with the picks of Damien
Williams and Tim Tebow. |
